In the first book, Echoes Across the Tracks, Charlie hops aboard a modern train from New Orleans to Chicago rather than rebook through the airline after his flight has been canceled. His adventurous and at times mysterious experiences on the train to Chicago lead Charlie to share and learn life lessons from characters that cover an expanded time period, including time in 1914 Jackson, MS and Memphis, TN.

Upon arrival in Chicago, our aging business leader, Charlie, questions what he can and can’t share about his time travel experience for fear of being misunderstood or seen as senile. What happens over the next 48 hours has Charlie even more strongly committed to sharing his years of business experience and reminding those in his path that quality customer service can be provided by anyone willing to consider the other person first and remembering it is all about them.
